The link below contains the research carried out by Trademark on behalf of the ICTU in the Industrial and Fair Employment tribunals in Northern Ireland. A wide range of stakeholders were consulted during the process and the research contains a number of recommendations which, if implemented would give greater access to justice and reduce the number of people who have been failed by the tribunal system that currently exists

Advanced Trade Union Leadership Course

Following on from the succesfull pilot run in November 2009 Trademark 'Consolidating the Peace' are running another Advanced Trade Union Leadership Course in the Rural College Derrynoid, Draperstown on the 27th and 28th February 2010. This course is ideal for Trade Unionists of some experience who wish to have a clearer view of the trade union movements relationship with the political world. Equality and Good Relations Trainers Programme

Trademark is recruiting for the next run of our OCN Level IV accredited 'Equality and Good Relations Trainers Programme' beginning in early September 09. The course consists of 5 units delivered 1 day per month (10-4pm) for 10 months consisting:

Prejudice and anti-disrcimination
Equality of Opportunity in context
Good Relations as anti-sectarianism
Good Relations as anti-racism
Design, delivery and evaluation

Launch of 'Consolidating the Peace' Programme

Consolidating the peace is a three year programme funded under Priority 1: Reconciling Communities and Theme 1.2 Acknowledging and Dealing with the past. The project is supported by the Peace III Programme managed for the SEUPB by the Community Relations Council / Border Action Consortium.

The project is designed to fully engage the trade union movement in building its capacity through accredited training, research and dialogue to challenge sectarianism and racism and deal with the legacy of the conflict.
